Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque Review

I am a facial mask freak! After wearing makeup all day, everyday, my skin usually needs some extra TLC. I heard rave reviews about the Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque for a while before I actually tried it. Thanks to all the girls who recommended it, it has become one of my favorite masks.

Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask is a true bargain, retailing at around $3.99 for an 8 oz. tube. At this price, almost everyone can afford to pamper themselves.

The packaging promises to remove blackheads, dry up pimples, and shrink pores leaving your skin feeling smooth and refreshed. Score! All of the things I love.

The mask is a thick, green, clay type. One of my favorite things about the Mint Julep mask is that it smells so good! It smells like something made in the kitchen.

After I wash my face with my regular daily cleanser, I gently pat my skin dry, leaving it just a tiny bit damp.

Then I apply a generous layer of Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque to my face. Be sure to leave the delicate under-eye skin and eyebrows free of product.

The mask feels cool and tingly, which I thoroughly enjoy, while releasing more of it's fantastic fragrance as it dries.

I leave the mask on until it completely dries. This usually takes about 15 minutes, depending how thick a layer I applied. When the mask dries it becomes very stiff and makes it a bit difficult to move my face. This is kind of fun if you've never experienced it before.

When it's time to remove the mask, I wet a washcloth with warm water, put it on my face for a few seconds to allow the heat and moisture to break up the clay a little. Then I gently rub the washcloth over my face, removing all remnants of the mask.

My face always feels super smooth and clean after I have washed it off.

After I have removed the mask, I use a toner or a gentle micellar cleansing water to make sure my skin is extra clear.

Follow up with a favorite day or night facial moisturizer and you are all set.

I love trying new things. What is your favorite masque?
