Love the crackle nail trend!

I know that maybe I'm a little behind on this trend but I have fallen in love with the crackle nail trend. The best thing about it is how easy it is. I purchased my crackle polish from Sephora online. The crackle top coat is called "Blasted" and is by Sephora by OPI. Amazingly, it is only $3.00 a bottle! I bought mine in black, white, silver and gold. They also have purple and a darker gold color.

This is what I used to create the following look. Lasting Finish Pro by Rimmel in #420 Midnight Blue, Sephora by OPI Blasted in gold, and Finger paints top coat.

I applied only one coat of the midnight blue polish and let it dry COMPLETELY. This is huge. If you do not let it dry completely, the blasted polish will smear and mess up your nails.

After applying and allowing the blue polish to dry, I applied a THIN coat of the Blasted polish. It is really important to note that you want a thin coat. Also very important, don't go over the same area twice. The way the Blasted polish works is, as it dries, it sort of shrivels up and shrinks, revealing the base color. I found that if I take a tooth pick and randomly scrape tiny spots on my nails gently, the Blasted polish will come out better.

I then allow the blasted polish to dry completely and brush on a coat of top coat. There you have it, three easy steps to cute blasted nails.
