Prepare: Generation Beauty by Ipsy

The end of the school year and Summer are sneaking up on us. This year I have decided to take a girl's weekend (extended weekend) trip to California, at the end of May, to go to the 2-day Generation Beauty event in Los Angeles. We are ridiculously excited since this is the first girl's only trip most of us have had since becoming moms. This event features tons of beauty brands and many popular beauty gurus all in one place and is said to have the "BEST GOODIE BAG EVER!" This is the third year this convention-style event has been put on and is quite popular among beauty enthusiasts in and around the L.A. area. I was not sure what to expect so I have spent quite some time researching to gather a good feel for the event and be able to share it with all of you beauties, in one place.

 

Important information to know:

- Generation Beauty is a two-day event that is held at L.A. Live.

- This year the dates for the event are SATURDAY, May 30th, 2015 and SUNDAY, May 31st, 2015.

- Early Bird pricing of $89 (covering both days) is still available until April 30th. Use Promo Code GB2015 until April 30th to get your tickets for $75.  On May 1st, ticket prices go up to $150.

- Brands already confirmed for the 2015 event include NYX, BareMinerals, Sephora, Cargo, London Soho, LUSH, St. Tropez, Tarte, and many more.

- So far, Ipsy has confirmed only 7 beauty gurus/stylists at this time. They are Michelle Phan, Promise Phan, Chrisspy, Christen Dominique, Desi Perkins, Ingrid Nilsen, and LustreLux. With many more still to be announced.

 

 

So, what should you expect out of this fun-filled weekend, you ask?

 

1. LOTS of awesome beauty swag! Seriously, lots!

 

At the beginning of day one you will receive 4 vouchers (two for Saturday and two for Sunday) that will have designated booths listed on them. At the end of each day's event, there will be, what is called, the "beauty happy hour". This is when you can trade in your vouchers for you amazing goodie bags. You will head over to your designated booths and collect not one, but TWO goodie bags filled with beauty goodies. You get to do this BOTH days for a total of FOUR swag bags! How sweet is that?

2.Youtube, Instagram, and blogger beauty gurus everywhere.

 

Not only will you be showered with gifts, you will also get to meet some of your favorite beauty bloggers/vloggers. If you are a blogger/vlogger, Generation Beauty is a great opportunity to network with other bloggers and grow your fan base.

 

3. Beauty brands galore!
