Influenster Violet Voxbox

I am seriously loving Influenster! I got the chance to try some cool products when I was chosen to receive the Violet Voxbox. I am always super excited to try new things... ESPECIALLY free things.

Want to know more about Influenster? See my post *HERE*

Anyway, I received five products in my Violet Voxbox:

Montagne Jeunesse Clay mask:
I was unsure about this item from Montagne Jeunesse at first because I had tried their Chocolate mask in the past and my skin was way too sensitive for it. I decided to give the clay mask a try anyway and was pleasantly surprised! When I applied it, it gave a nice cooling, refreshing feeling to my skin. When it was removed and rinsed off, my face felt so smooth and soft.

Looked kind of dorky but it was very relaxing and rejuvenating.
These masks sell for between $1-$2. that means they are nice, inexpensive pampering treat and I definitely will be buying them to treat myself to at-home spa days.

Sally Hansen Triple Shine Nail Polish:

I got this in the color "Make Waves". it is an iridescent ocean blue color. This wouldn't have been my first choice from their gorgeous collection but also not my last. It looked pretty good on my nails and the application was easy.
It took two coats of the Triple Shine polish to get it opaque but it dried rather quickly. Overall, I didn't find anything that impressive with this polish. There wasn't anything that gave it the "wow factor" to me. As for "Triple shine", I'm not sure what it is being compared to. For me, that seems to just be a marketing ploy as it wasn't really shiny at all. Maybe the other cream or glitter polishes have more shine. It also didn't last very long before chipping. I got one day out of it. I will take my Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure polish over this one any day!

Goody Athletique Headband:

This is a moisture absorbing headband made for wear during workouts. It is perfect for that! It is nothing fancy but works for it's intended purpose. It is also great to wear to keep hair away while washing your face. It is comfortable on the head and does not move around or slide off.

Soy Joy bar in Dark Chocolate Cherry flavor:

We were quite divided on this product in my house. First, my opinion, they taste like any other energy/protein/health bar. They have the typical chalky taste with the gritty texture. If you REALLY want to eat these types of bars, this one is not bad tasting as long as you consider it WILL taste like a health food bar. Now, my 2-year-old and 4-year-old could not get enough! They wanted more. My 8-year-old said they could have it! He was not impressed. My final thoughts on the Soy Joy bars is that they are certainly an acquired taste.

Not Your Mother's Clean Freak Dry Shampoo:

This is a product I actually found a couple months back while looking to try different dry shampoos. I do like the way it works. It does give you extra time between shampooing without leaving a gross greasy look to your hair. The one thing I don't like is that it doesn't smell good. When I purchased it in the store, I thought it smelled like coconut and I was really excited. I mean, if you are skipping the shampoo, you don't want your hair to smell like it. It must have actually been a different Not Your Mother's product that I was smelling.
I will still use this since it does work well but will continue my search for one that works well AND smells good. Isn't the travel-size can from influenster cute!?

I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

  1. Cute products! I dislike those Soy Joy bars! THey taste like burnt foam to me. LOL Other protein bars I like though, but you're right, it is an acquired taste.
