I recently got the chance to try Montagne Jeunesse Clay mask. I got this product free from Influenster in my Violet Voxbox for testing purposes.
I was unsure about this item from Montagne Jeunesse at first because I have tried their Chocolate mud mask in the past and my skin was way too sensitive for it. It made my face really red and inflamed. I decided to give the clay mask a try anyway since it is a different product. I was very pleasantly surprised!
When I tried to read about how to use it, I just hoped I was doing it right. The instructions are very short and to the point; almost too simple. This might pose a problem for anyone who is unfamiliar with spa treatments or DIY face masks. Once I decided how to use it, it was easy enough.
I was a little confused by the "massage" step because by the time I took mine off, 12 minutes later, the clay that was still on my face was starting to crust over and was not of a consistency that could be massaged.
This is what the masque looks like
Looked kind of dorky but it was very relaxing and rejuvenating.
It is really neat because it is actually a cloth mask with cutouts for eyes, nose and mouth and is infused with the clay. As for the smell, it was sort of masculine, in my opinion. it reminded me of an aftershave of cologne. When I applied it, it gave a nice cooling and refreshing feeling to my skin. It was really nice having it on and it kind of had a spa feel to it.
When it was removed and rinsed off, my face felt so smooth and soft.! I really could not stop touching it.
A great thing about Montagne Jeunesse is that they sell these masks for between $1-$2. That means they are a nice, inexpensive pampering treat and I definitely will be buying them to treat myself to at-home spa days.
Next product I am going to try to find is something from their men's line. I really want to try one on my husband!
