ShaveMOB Razor Review

Have you joined the MOB yet!? I recently got introduced to a new razor company called ShaveMOB. I was contacted by their PR department to sample their razor. I was a little leery to try it because I consider myself a bit of a razor snob. I only like to use Venus razors and, in my opinion, nothing else compares. I did take ShaveMOB up on their offer, though because I am always up for trying new things.

So, let's talk about ShaveMOB!

ShaveMOB is a brand new company that sells premium razors online. They are committed to selling high quality shavers for both men and women at a huge savings (up to 70%) over the other premium razors on the market. At first, I was a little unsure about this company since I had never heard of them before. I got my very generous "sample" kit in the mail that contained a razor handle and four of each type of women's razor blades that ShaveMOB offers. They have a 3-blade razor cartridge called "The Practical", a 4-blade called "The Purist", and the big guns cartridge that is a 6-blade, first of it's kind that I've seen, on the market, razor they call "The Perfectionist". Well naturally, I was completely drawn to the 6-blade razor and compelled to try it first. Wouldn't you be? Yeah, I thought so!

I waited a couple days to get some good stubble going and give this 6-blade razor a good challenge. I was thoroughly impressed with it's performance! I usually have issues with shaving around my knees. After all these years shaving I still either miss some hair, cut my knee, or spend a ridiculous amount of time trying not to do either. The design of the ShaveMob 6-blade razor bends and flexes in two ways. The entire razor head bends to get around the curves and contours to your leg. Then, the six blades are divided in half (3 and 3) where there is another joint for more flex! This extra joint made this razor a star when it came to shaving around my knees! At one point I actually thought I caught it on my knee and held my breath waiting for blood that didn't come. In addition to all the other great features, the 6-blade razor also has a nifty, flexible, rubbery, brush-like strip above the moisturizing strip that is intended to exfoliate skin to help get an even closer shave. How awesome is that?

I am totally in love with the Perfectionist!

So far, my first Perfectionist blade had lasted me over three weeks. I do not shave everyday because I despise it. Luckily, I get such a close shave with my ShaveMOB razor that I don't have to. YAY!

Let's compare prices and quality to my usual razor of choice:

I usually use the Venus Embrace razor that is Gillette's top of the line, 5-blade women's razor. A six-month supply of the (somewhat) comparable ShaveMOB Perfectionist without flex head costs $22.99. For the same amount of blades and handle (12 razor heads) of the Venus Embrace, it would cost me $47 at Walmart! WOW! The ShaveMOB would cost less than half the price. As far as quality, the ShaveMOB razor blades stay sharp longer so I don't have to replace as often and give me a closer, better shave. I am definitely sold!

    Now, let's talk about negatives:

Every product has some, unfortunately. The first thing I find that could be a negative is that I don't feel as though the ShaveMOB razors moisturize very well. I was left feeling itchy after using it and had to apply lotion right away. I do this anyway after showering; so for me, this is not at all a deal breaker.

Another thing I noticed right away, is that ShaveMOB razors so not have any way to safely store your razor. My usual razor comes with a case that sticks to the wall and holds spare blades as well as a compartment to store your razor. For me, this is HUGE! I have three young and VERY curious little boys at home and I don't want to worry about "what do I do with this razor?" after I shave. For now I have to just make a conscious effort to remove it from the shower AND remember to bring it back when I need it. That is easier said than done and I have, more than once actually, dripped across the bathroom to go get it. Maybe a slight oversight on ShaveMOB's part but kind of a big deal to a mom. So, if they get a handy razor holder, I would be completely thrilled! Yes, I did contact them about this. ;)

After all of that, I strongly recommend ShaveMOB. They are an amazing  new company that truly does offer a fabulous, high-quality product at great prices.

Have a man in your life? ShaveMOB also has a men's line! Though I have not gotten any men's razors for my husband to try, yet; I have heard really great things about them. So if it's men's razors you are after, check them out online while you are getting your women's razors.

You can order your ShaveMOB razors at http://shavemob.com. What's even better, you will get FREE shipping on all orders and there are no automatic shipments or billing! You just re-order your fabulous blades when you start to run low.

Want to try ShaveMOB for yourself? You are in luck, they have offered to give one lucky Mom Turned Upside Down reader a single handle + a 2 months supply (4 cartridges) of  mens or womens 6-blade razors! All you have to do is enter

    GOOD LUCK!

      2. Thanks so much for your reply! Though, she already got the answer from Facebook, I'm sure it will be helpful to others. In fact, I'm not sure how I overlooked posting it in the first place. I will go back and edit the review to let everyone know that ShaveMOB does have a man's line.
