Feld Entertainment Group presents: Disney on Ice Rockin' Ever After at the Tucson Arena at Tucson Convention Center October 2013!
This is a fabulous show to see with the whole family! We seriously drove two hours to see Rockin' Ever After Thursday night. We arrived two hours early so we could pick up our tickets at will call and get something to eat.
We made the mistake of leaving the Convention Center to go get food and trying to slide back in in time to start the show. I say "mistake" because parking was a nightmare. It took us almost thirty minutes to find parking and get inside right as the show was starting. I strongly encourage you to get there at least an hour before curtain and grab food there in order to avoid the stress and headache that is Tucson Arena parking.
Anyway, I was too excited about the show to let the parking issue get to me too bad. We took our seats in section 203, row H. I don't even think there was a "bad" seat in the place. We could see just fine from where we were.
I have always wanted to see a Disney on Ice show and finally had the opportunity to do so. I actually think I was more excited than my kids were!
The show started on a high note with our favorite classic Disney buddies Donald Duck, Goofy, Mickey Mouse, and Minnie Mouse as our show presenters. My youngest, literally, squealed and clapped as soon as he saw Mickey Mouse!
The classic Disney gang was followed by an act featuring the Little Mermaid, Ariel and all of her under sea friends. The Little Mermaid act was my favorite! I may be a little biased though since it was my favorite movie as a kid.
Ariel and Prince Eric were magical to watch. The bright colors, singing and amazing figure skating tricks that went on during this show were phenomenal
Following The Little Mermaid act were more acts from Disney movies including Tangled, Beauty and the Beast and Brave. The acts were basically condensed, paraphrased versions of the full length movies. What I will say about this is that it wasn't exactly what I was expecting. I was expecting Disney on Ice to have original material featuring well-known characters. Either way, it was a great show and our whole family enjoyed it very much! I would go back in a heartbeat!
My kids were so mesmerized by the show that I had a hard time even getting them to look at the camera for a picture!
