Ipsy Glam Bag October 2013

Got my Ipsy bag for October! I always get so excited to try all the fun goodies I get from Ipsy. This month's theme was "The Art of Beauty".

Here is what I got in my bag:

-Zoya nail polish in Giovanna
It is a gorgeous metallic "emerald green" (according to Zoya's website) but it actually looks more on the blue side like turquoise or teal. Either way, it's pretty. I really like the formula! It is not thick so it doesn't "glob" on my nails and it dries quickly.

I dunno, what do you think? Is it Emerald green? Maybe. I'm still kind of undecided on that but I do love the polish!

-La Fresh Wipes
Oil-Free Face Cleanser wipes. These are a 10-count package (better than the last ones I got from Ipsy). They are biodegradable and compostable... That is really cool! Better for the environment is always a great selling point.

-Buxom Lip Polish
LOVE! I absolutely love getting lip gloss in my Glam Bags. I especially love getting higher end lip glosses in my Glam bags and I get, over the moon, excited for higher end lip glosses in my Glam Bags that are actually the colors I already love wearing! The Buxom Lip Polish is is the color 'Dolly' and is a mauve, shimmery gloss. It has a nice tingle to it as if it's a plumping gloss but I didn't notice any plumping effects the first time I tried it. It also smells good and is not sticky. The packaging is really cute too!

-Big Sexy Hair Blow Dry Gel
I have used this product before and it is a great volumizing gel. I wasn't that excited to get it in my bag though because it is, one, a product I have used before and two, it's a product that I don't use often and it's not a favorite. Definitely not a BAD item but not very exciting either.

-Nourish Organic Deeply Nourishing Coconut & Argon Body Lotion
Meh, I love that this is an organic lotion but that's about it. It smells really good in the tube but not so good on. Besides that, I have TONS of body lotion and this just wasn't thrilling.

For $10, this is not too shabby! I love trying new beauty products and it is always fun anticipating what my bag will contain each month. I have been thinking about also subscribing to Birch Box but I think I have ruled it out. They seem to offer less for the money. Do you subscribe to either or both? If  so, what is your take on them?
