ANOTHER way to get FREE John Frieda hair color!

I was at my Walgreens last week and was talking to the BA (beauty advisor, the girl who runs the cosmetics area) and she told me that John Frieda was supposed to be sending coupon for FREE hair color for this weeks saturdate. FREE grocery deals this week

this week I was able to snag FREE powerade and FREE Ronzoni pasta!

Fry's is having a mega event this week that is buy 10 participating items, save $5 automatically. I didn't even bother with Fry's, I just took my ads to Walmart and Pm'd. Here is how my deal worked out:

1st I had to get my coupons, got my Powerade coupons from tearpads at Walgreen's (have also seen them at Quiktrip) They were for 75 cents off 2 32oz. Powerades.

I got my Ronzoni coupons for $1.00 off 2 online here: http://ronzoni.newworldpasta.com/pasta_coupon.cfm I was able to print all of them 2 times per computer by hitting the back button after printing. I used 2 computers, got 12 coupons (24 boxes of pasta worth, but Walmart did not stock the garden delights so I only got 16).

Powerade was 38 cents after mega discount (got 20)=  $7.60-$7.50(10 .75 Q's)= .10 for 20 Powerades!

Ronzoni pasta was 49 cents after mega discount (got 16)= $7.84-$8.00 (8 $1.00 off 2 Q's)= -.16 for 16 boxes of pasta! that 16 cents covered the 10 cents for the powerade and left me with 6 cents to put towards my other items. :)

The Basics, PLEASE READ!

Before we get too ahead of ourselves, there are some basic pieces of information you should know
1. The coupon/deal lingo. Here is a list of abbreviations you will probably see me use a lot and what they mean:
OOP= out of pocket (the amount you have to dish out in real money)
MM= Money maker
Q= coupon
MQ= manufacturer coupon (any coupon that says "manufacturer coupon" on the top and can be used at any retailer)
SQ= store coupon (coupons for a specific store)
TQ= Target coupon (you will probably see a lot of those)
RR= register rewards (given at walgreens)
ECB= extra care bucks (given out at CVS)
CRT= a coupon given out at cvs from their red machine when you swipe your card
CAT= stands for catalina (a coupon printed at registers of lots of retailers)
P&G= Proctor and Gamble (refferes to the company who makes the product and also puts out coupons)
RP= Redplum (you will find their coupons in the newspaper)
SS= SmartSource (you will also find their coupons in the newspaper)
WAGS= walgreens
WM= walmart
stacking= when you use a SQ and a MQ for the same item
PM= price matching
BBW= bath and body works
MIR= mail-in rebate
FARR= free after register rewards
FAR= free after rebate
GC=gift card
NPN= no purchase necessary
Blinkie= coupons that you get out of the little machines hooked to shelves in grocery store aisles
tearpads= coupons that are found on promotional displays throughout stores
IP= internet printable coupons
hangtags= coupons hanging on the necks of bottles at the store
peelies= coupons stuck to products but peel off
this is the basic coupon lingo. I will add more if I think of anything.


2. COUPONS, lots and lots of COUPONS and where to get them:
    I use a lot of coupons on the deals I get. There are lots of ways to get them. Here are some of them
     *sunday newspapers
     *grocery store weekly ads
     *printed online
        -coupons.com
        -smartsource.com
        -redplum.com
        -target.com
        -facebook
        -company websites
      *by contacting companies and complimenting products through email

3. Matching coupons to sales
    I often save coupons until there is a really good sale going so I can maximize my savings with coupons.

4. Stacking MQ's with SQ's
    A lot of time you can use a MQ and a SQ together on the same item to get really great deals!

5. price matching
     Walmart will price match any competitor. this works to my advantage when other stores are out of stock and when I want to take advantage of deals from many different stores without actually going to those stores.

6. facebook contests/giveaways
     Lots of companies are on facebook now and periodically do free giveaways. I will post as I see them come up.

7. Contacting companies pays off (big time!)
     There are lots of items that you will rarely see coupons for or the coupons are very low in value. By contacting companies you are very likely to get some coupons in the mail for products you like and often generous companies will send you coupons for FREE products!

8. coupon doubleing
     Some stores double coupons (which gets lots of FREE products). Fry's actually runs promotions where they make all coupons worth at least $1. So, for example, a 10 cent coupon would automatically ring up as $1
these are the basic pieces of information you need to know about couponing for now. I will add as I remember or new things come about.

More AMAZING Amazon.com Baby deals!

These are items that I have "bought" on Amazon.com using the $10 off Amazon baby coupon codes. Yes, I had to use A LOT of codes, BUT, it all ended up costing me less than $5.00 OOP!

How did I get all this baby stuff for UNDER $5.00?
All you have to do on this deal is find items in the baby store http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dbaby-products&field-keywords=&x=18&y=11 that are sold AND fulfilled by Amazon, add the item to your cart, proceed to checkout.
When you checkout, it will give you the option to apply a gift card or promotion code. This is where you would enter your $10 coupon code.

The BEST part about this deal? your total purchase does NOT have to be equal to or greater than $10 to apply the code! That's right, If you order a package of pacifiers for $4.59 (or 2 for $9.18), when you enter the code it will take you total to $0.00 FREE!!!  AND the remaining balance of your coupon will be stored to your account for next time! :)

Amazon diaper deals

Amazon.com has some AMAZING baby coupons right now that make for very inexpensive or even FREE (yes, FREE) diapers. These are the things you need to know about it before we get started:
1. The codes that I will mention are for 20% off diapers or $10 off any Amazon.com baby store purchase sold by Amazon (not by Amazon but fullfilled by another seller).  YES, they can be used together (or "stacked" on the same order) At the time of this publication.
2. I DO NOT recommend that you buy magazines in the store to obtain any of them. The reason? There have been MANY reports of people copying the codes and not purchasing the magazines. So, when you or I go to buy them (just for the codes, of course) we are heartbroken to get ones that have already been redeemed by the thieves. :(
3. I do not know how long we will be able to get in on this deal, so jump on it while you can!
4. The only examples I am showing on this post are diapers that are 100% FREE with both the 20% code and the $10 code. However, The codes can still be applied to bigger boxes and different brands that will cost you some money out of pocket. I would still recommend buying diapers from Amazon if you only have one code or no codes at all because with the 30% savings from Amazon mom and subscribe and save, in addition to NO tax on your purchase they are still the BEST deal I have found anywhere (even when I use coupons and sales).

how does this work?
They are $19.99 on Amazon.com, with Amazon Mom the price drops to $16.99. When you go to place your order you will see a section on the right hand side of the screen that is a light blue box. It says "one-time delivery" or "subscribe and save". when you click "subscribe and save" it will save you ANOTHER 15% (30% total so far) taking your total down to $13.99! this sub. and save program is set up to automatically renew however often you choose. If you decide you don't want it to, you can cancel it (and it is very easy to do so).
3. Now you will click the button that is YELLOW and says "subscribe now"
4. Now that you have subscribed it will bring up your order screen. On the right hand side there will be 2 boxes. the top one breaks down your order. the bottom one asks if you have a giftcard or promotional code to apply. The answer is YES! this is where you will enter your 20% and $10 codes one at a time in whichever order you choose. once you have entered one, push the "APPLY" button and it will be added to your order. After both are applied, your total will be $0.00 (FREE)!!!
